David Hayward originally trained as a silversmith at Loughborough
College of Art and Design; following this with an MA in industrial
design at Birmingham Polytechnic.
After gaining design and lecturing experience in England, Germany
and Hong Kong – and following seven years at the Design Council
in London – he established david hayward design in 1986.
